| In general I think the We Own the Night movie by James Gray benefiting from their good conduct, not rushed and furious MTV editing. This leads to a good deal of leniency by the critics (such as with Night Shyamalan before becoming too obvious he was shooting the same narrative structure more and more), a first for directors who do not harass the viewer with but the sounds & images from the camera roll and the actors do their work, developing the story and so on. We own the night started well, the exhibition is excellent. Although the brother of the confrontation is not new Joaquin Phoenix is so good you just go into the history and pray for the plot to be more complicated. Wow. The problem is the story becomes a one-way road in the same age and same age. Joaquin Phoenix is not so good you do not care too much until it becomes too. In this sense (and lack of respect for the movie-goer) the DivX Movie We Own the Night ends in a lame way to run a successful and clean and orderly and moral conclusion. The last line (see the "memorable quotes") says it all. That reflects a good director can be too soft in writing. Bring feelings in front of the camera is miles away from sentimentality shooting script and I think that James Gray has a problem with his characters, emotions, because it is only able to play in pathos and good acting. |
| I saw this DVD film We Own the Night in a special screening in LA. There were many people there from all walks of life and all ages - the movie: We Own the Night seemed to go very well throughout the world in the room. The movement is full of very tense moments and excellent performances by Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, Robert Duvall and Eva Mendes. Wahlberg and Phoenix are working well together, as brothers and troubled Robert Duvall is perfect as ever. I have recently seen some real stinkers in the cinema (I will not bother with the list because it is too long) and it is encouraging to see that films can be made with good characters you can care about and root. Since the We Own the Night Crime movie was not finished at the time that I see, I hope you enjoy the We Own the Night Crime movie again at the local cinema .. |
