| seen the 300 Spartans, The War many times at least, wanted to show the new now.still even looking. improved performance and better image of the true facts. hounor and died with the last defense courage.and was very sad. movie.the wanted to show realism and had to keep the whole fabric of the events that made the world, even the way they have today. if not for his courageous and heroic struggle of the battle has set the world in a different direction. his emotion was much to see the DivX film 300 Spartans, The and made him stay in his seat not want to miss anything. the main players was over and the best showing as ben hur.ect .. this DVD film 300 Spartans, The was years ahead of its time and would be a big box office hit now. |
| The true history of the position by 300 Spartan soldiers against an invading army of Persians is the treatment of Hollywood in Cinemascope lushly mounted production with a solid if a spectacular cast. Second string trouserpress stars Richard Egan as Leonidas, King of the Spartans, who marches to his personal bodyguards Thermopylae to repel the invasion of the Persian hordes. He expects to be joined by the rest of the Spartan army, but when it is betrayed by a decision of the Council, he and his loyal soldiers decide to make a stand. This is quite an inspiring story, and scenes of the battle - if a little tame by today's standards - are staging impressive. Unfortunately, we have to sit through an hour or so of the policy and a turgid romantic sub-plot that stubbornly refuses to be even slightly participation, before reaching the main objective of the story. Many of the characters are strictly one dimension, their words describing the mindset of a culture rather than the thoughts and feelings, I guess that is why not engage the viewer. On the positive side, the Spartans is to be handled very moving, there are some stunning location cinematography of Geoffrey Unsworth, and the remastered DVD offers a pretty clear and sharp. This is one of those films that if you saw it as a kid, in his memory because of the climatic battle scenes, and so some may have a high error view the DivX film 300 Spartans, The as a whole. |
| After reading of Leonidas on the same day I saw this film, historical events are fresh in my mind. Other films of this genre, I did not expect much in regard to historical accuracy refers to this movie, but I am pleasantly surprised, there were some inaccuracies, but overall it was a valid and accurate spartans and war at the time. He was not the best that can be seen, but it was enough. The battle scenes were very well done and very exciting. The 300 Spartans, The movie ends with the disappearance of the Spartans under the arrow Persian king of the storm, but the sacrifice would allow the Greeks to defeat it and then ending the Persian invasion. The message of heroism and dedication in fact, was strong. |
| In 480 BC, the ambitious, cruel and merciless King Xerxes (David Farrar) of Persia invades Greece with his huge army to extend its vast slave empire. The brave Spartan army is the great hope to liberate and unite Greece and Ling Leonidas (Richard Egan) promises the Council of the Greek statistics to defend the passage of Thermopylae, the only way by land to Athens. The epic "The 300 Spartans" is a great story of courage, heroism and idealism. This story has romance, action and drama, with great performances and choreography in scenes of battle. Long I laughed with the ingenuity of the old line Phylon goatherd - "Who can understand the way of the gods? Crean charming girls and then turn them into wives." | A week after I finished my doctoral thesis on the life of TemÃstocles this DivX film 300 Spartans, The was shown on TV and my hero was being played by Ralph Richardson. It is an impressive, stirring 300 Spartans, The War movie based on the themes and events is in Herodotus. The scale of the movie: 300 Spartans, The is his best feature, some of the acting (and accents) grate a bit, but shines through history. |
