| A young woman, Nicole Carrow (Jaimie Alexander) and her boyfriend, Jess (Joey Mendicino) become targets for a deranged serial murderer after leaving the 'comfort break "in a remote road near the rest stop. What could have been an effective cooling of fear in more competent hands, this is a confused, ill-considered under the direction of John sloppy mess Shibam (who also wrote the screenplay). There is a good dose of violence juicy, a brief smattering of nudity, and hoped the list of performances, but the script leaves the viewer with so many stupid questions unanswered one can not help but feel disappointed. On the surface, the Rest Stop Horror plays like a standard cliché-ridden "murderer-in-the-loose film, but Shibam (a former writer of the X-files) throws in some subtle supernatural elements that suggest that his aim was something else: a ghost story, with the rest stops as the home of a vengeful ghost out to punish the guilty. As you read about the film, control of viewers' theories here on IMDb, and watching the DVD extras, some plot elements start to make a little more sense (although, even with the added advantage of information, there are still many questions left unanswered). In my opinion, any Rest Stop Horror movie that requires the research to do much in itself (partly) is not particularly a good understanding. |
| But it is not. The plot is not so bad, players are not so terrible that it must be decent. In contrast, although despite a good starting point and drag the plot suffers greatly from the "I can not believe he / she is so stupid" moments as often used in horror movies to keep things going. That sometimes frustrates me to see some of the decision by the main character. It also took too long to get to the good part of the film. Anticipation is great but you can not spend more than half of the movie: Rest Stop creation. A pity, because we also have exposure to the release and hit just before the Halloween season. Yet I feel this is going to get at least a sequel, if not more so perhaps we can build on the strong general plot to eventually release something decent. |
| Apparently, in the eyes of some - not enough horror films these days young people's participation being chased through a desert by a mysterious and murderous madman in a truck. I mean, all we have now is the joy deterrent, Wolf Creek, Jeepers Creepers, Monster Man - among others. REST STOP may well be the worst of them. This is a girl and her boyfriend left to start his life back together again in California. Along the way, stop at a grimy toilet so the couple can relieve herself, but when I returned - she realizes that her boyfriend and his car was gone. From there, she discovers that the culprit is a man driving a yellow comes to collecting and terrorize its stem, as it hides in the bathroom. This Rest Stop Horror film is so original that it is flat boring. The acting is annoying, the blood is mild, and the murderer, whose identity is not revealed in the film, but it is something memorable. Terrible - terrible DVD film Rest Stop ... |
