| It has been a while since I had seen this My Cousin Vinny Comedy and all it really is to remember that the courtroom scenes are very funny. Fred Gwynne, who played former Alabama judge, was really the best player here. I remember the first launch 40 years ago in the television program, "Car 54 Where Are You." Unfortunately, he died just a year after this My Cousin Vinny film was released. There is something about Marisa Tomei that puts at the top of my list of women who do not have the desert in a tropical island. In this My Cousin Vinny Comedy she is perfect in a party that could have been written for her. As the sassy "unemployed hairdresser, and former mechanic, his testimony for the defense showed the two children could not have committed the murder. "This is a bill hit $ question. No one can answer that question." (The car does not have that type of engine until 1964.) I saw "My cousin Vinnny" on a DVD from my neighbor, Ron, gave me. For a 10-year-old film, made long before DVD became a word, the video transfer is very nice. There are no extras to speak of, but a good DVD for any collection that appreciates comedies. |
| This is one of those films that if you enjoy full, is so fun to see again and again as it was initially. It is simply a very pleasant mood piece of entertainment. The two main tracks, the two young defendants, the main co-stars (judge, prosecutor, sheriff) and the other cast members are all excellent. One of the best features which the story is that all the characters seem to contribute to his good humor (eg, prosecutor, judge, another defense attorney, sheriff, witnesses), and Pesci and Tomei. So often in such films, some good characters / situations that cause truces in history, or the writers / directors to all the "good things" to the star (s). Not so here. Numerous reviews have covered here before by far the plot. For anyone who can get through this, if you have not seen this film, rent, buy or see the next time they are listed in the directory. |
| Like most people, I loved this DVD movie My Cousin Vinny when it came out. I have seen and laughed all the way through it several times. I have a setback of about all the characters, in particular, Fred Gwynne, whom I have always enjoyed in his two old television series "The Munsters" and "Car 54, Where Are You?" Joe Pecsi provides most of the fun, the defense lawyer. Many people also laughed at the Marisa Tomei character here, too. Seeing this 10 years later, in 2002 was a kind of shock. I have been totally changed and is now offensive to the vast amount of profanity, and in particular the high use of the Lord's name in vain (five in the first five minutes alone). It's funny how you can ignore such things. Tomei super-Brooklyn accent, which was also funny 15 years ago, now sounds like chalk on a blackboard - just brutal. However, if the language or the accents do not bother, this is a very, very funny film: My Cousin Vinny and one of the most popular of its time. Gwynne made the word "you" (Youth) by mocking Pecsi funny. Not only that word, the entire film: My Cousin Vinny is greatly missed. I was talking about this movie: My Cousin Vinny to several people in the past and they all had nothing fond memories, but "youts" and other words and scenes of humor in this film. |
| Billy Gambini and Stan Rothenstein are accused of murder in Alabama, after confessing to the crime (thinking that the charge was stealing a can of tuna) are in a little more than the south. Fortunately, Billy is a lawyer in the family, his cousin Vinny (Joe Pesci) is wrong is his specialty in personal injury. He and his girlfriend (Marisa Tomei) who reside in the area and do even the simplest things, like sleeping quite difficult to do. Half asleep and a little unpractised in the courtroom, Vinny's first case not go exactly to plan, at least not without the help of his girlfriend. With some very good dialogue and some clever plot twists, you'll find this DivX Movie My Cousin Vinny and its cast fun to watch. Both Pesci and Tomei are bright, but for me Tomei steals. 9 / 10 |
| My Cousin Vinny was a great movie. I borrowed this My Cousin Vinny film from a friend, but I had no idea what it really was, but knowing Joe Pesci, Ralph Macchio, and Marisa Tomei star in it. After seeing it, I liked it. It was a fun movie. There were tons of laughs and did not know he was going to be fun, but especially this Joe Pesci as Vinny was hilarious. Had the best role in this DVD film My Cousin Vinny to anyone, but Marisa Tomei as a bride and Vinny Fred Gwynne as the judge wonderful. I was surprised how the My Cousin Vinny movie was good and, overall, I really entertained. I recommend the movie. Hedeen Outlook: B + + *** 8.5/10 |
