| Overwhelming under-dog story that has been done a hundred times and is certainly full of cliches, but nevertheless I loved it. "Goal!: The Journey Begins" is the first of a trilogy that a young Mexican illegal immigrant (Kuno Becker) in Los Angeles has an opportunity in the brass ring in England of all places of a football game for their teams professional after being discovered by a guide / former player Stephen Dillane. Tony Plana (always on the qualification and excellent) is pending Becker and cold father Marcel Iures gives an incredible performance in the English team's coach. | From the beginning this film: Goal! a great deal of maintenance jobs of their attention. That shows how hard it really is for any athlete, in this case a football player to be professional. In general, the Goal! film has become a favorite of all time of mine and I have already seen twice. This is a sleeper and if you're a fan of the English Premier League or Football in general, you should go see this movie. | I admit that I did not want to rent this DVD movie Goal! when I saw the video store. I thought it would be a horrible Goal! movie in the league of "Stick It" or "Bring it on, again," "You Got Served," "Bad News Bears" (remake) and the list goes on. I love football (AKA soccer), and thought it would ruin the game for me. Finally captured in digital cable and saw the whole movie: Goal! and was surprised at how fun and it was really good. This is not a review of the film, but more than the praise of how good it was. In fact, I cried in this film, and never mourn in movies. He was not corny and the plot could have been like any other child from poverty and meet the proverbial "American Dream" in England, but was done in a way that left the audience monotonous. Now we all know that Newcastle United is not one of the best football teams from all over (from a Chelsea fan), but the Goal! Drama film does not aspire to actually rooting for the team and player. I recommend this Goal! film for people who want to see a football Goal! film that is not a disappointment. |
