| Excellent, spare Western Eastwood's masterpiece is not recognized. Features the dwarf Mordecai (Curtis), the gunman who Eastwood became mayor and the city marshall. Yojimbo embellished basic plot inspired by powerful social commentary and violence, hallucinatory nightmare sequences. simply destructive Eastwood, cynical hero is pathetic how tasty it is the people are humiliating. Paint the town red die every watches, and returns to the tomb. A must for lovers of the western mainland, for its quality, depth and clarity of his vision of hell. Great photography, good location to fit the desolate mood of the story. |
| Clint Eastwood revives his signature role as "The Man with no name" and that seems to come out of nowhere in the distant meadow and down to the sleepy little town of Largo and after that things will never be the same again for the people who live there. A High Plains Drifter film that has a lot more then what you see in the first with Eastwood is not with a mysterious past, which is seen in flashback from time to time in the film. A style very much like "High Noon", but with a twist that accumulates slowly at first then takes off like a bronco to his fiery and dramatic conclusion. "High Plains Drifter" does not follow the standard Western and worn scenario is why we make it unique and exciting at the same time. Eastwood has never been better here as the pragmatic cool yet strange it anonymous so mysterious and threatening the entire world in ruins, friend or foe. During the years since "High Plains Drifter" was released in 1973 and has achieved cult statues Eastwood has never done it as good as Western and "High Plains Drifter" and includes "The Unforgiven." Eastwood is more than a match against him, but for what they, their enemies, and the audience, it is not known until the end of the DVD film High Plains Drifter is that Clint has something in addition to their firearms and fast nerves of steel, which is far beyond that of mortal man. |
| I really had no idea what to expect when I grabbed the highlands Drifter video store shelf. I recently saw the banned Josey Wales, and I really enjoy that film, I thought I could not go wrong, I was right. Drifter plateau is much more than a Westerner with the standard assortment of gun fights, bar scenes and pictures of the prairie on horseback wide open. To be sure, is part of the case, it is a western after all, but what I especially liked was the film's character development and thoughtful story. I do not want to ruin any of the movies for the enjoyment of all potential readers, so I will not describe any of the characters. Suffice it to say that although they all have a very realistic quality to them, especially the character of Clint Eastwood. Non-stereotyped good / bad here, thank you very much. As I mentioned, the story is very well developed. That has multiple layers are peeled away as the High Plains Drifter Drama film progresses, remaining at all entertaining. Drifter is a great western highlands. If you're a fan of the genre, no doubt you will find that this is a fun watch. |
| In the coastal town of Lake, a stranger (Clint Eastwood) arrives and is facing three "bad". Kill them as soon as possible and is invited by villagers to protect the city against three outlaws leaving a prison near a couple of days. A year ago, these bandits killed Marshal Jim Duncan using whips. Marshall asked for help and cowardly people do not help. The murderers were sent to prison and pledged to burn the city when they leave prison. Offer anything to the people abroad who want to `free 'if it protects against the wrath of criminals. What we do not know is that the stranger is the avenging angel of the dead seeking revenge marshal. This DivX Movie High Plains Drifter is big on revenge, that you never know if the 'no-name stranger is a brother or a friend of Jim Duncan, Jim Duncan or is himself looking for revenge. Fans of Western movies will not be disappointed with this story, no matter whether it is a cowboy or a character. My vote is seven. |
| As often happens with a Clint Eastwood western highlands Drifter is pretty good. The scenario opens with Eastwood (again playing a character with no name) riding in a small mining town of Lagos, where a small group of thugs, unsuccessfully trying to kill him. This small act serves as an introduction to local people: small ideas that are all cowards and not talk. Also carry a horrible secret. Eastwood is the time came to help fend off an attack next three criminals who have just been released from prison. He also suffers from a recurring nightmare that I will let you know. Needless to say, all the pieces come together at the end, and those who are not smart enough to have noticed it says, "of course!" A good story is combined with Eastwood in the fight against the heroic personality (he has never played a good guy, right?) And a good supporting cast to produce one of the best westerns of the 1970s. Maltin The summary says: "Half-serious, half ironic, very little role of Billy Curtis." Curtis plays Mortecai, dwarf the city, which Eastwood shadows around Lagos. Some of the scenes in this very funny, but are balanced by some tough moments of violence, of whom Eastwood nightmares are a good example. 1985 Pale Rider is similar to High Plains Drifter in certain areas, but will have to see that you know where. |
| Most people are turned off by this DivX Movie High Plains Drifter because it will not surrender to the audience. The DivX Movie High Plains Drifter does not let people like the characters, but I think that's the big element of this movie. This town is full of cowards and no one (except dwarf) deserves to be rescued. See more of the West is undeniably lovable characters who deserve to be saved from corruption. Eastwood takes this High Plains Drifter movie in a twisted, unique direction. Someone here said it does not seem to have supernatural elements in it. I disagree. At the end of Eastwood was asked about the dwarf who was Billy Curtis. Eastwood said that he knew. Billy then looked down at the tombstone of the dead sheriff who was killed by three robbers. Eastwood then disappear into the mist as the sun walks outside the city of Lago (at the conclusion of the film) with the disturbing background music. I liked the film: High Plains Drifter pitch dark and thought this was more than a western. It had the elements of thriller, too. Another part of the High Plains Drifter Drama movie adds to his aura supernatural Eastwood remembers when the sheriff's whipping death at the hands of three bandits (Eastwood does not even exist, how does he know). This has detractors as it can be very off-putting and very violent. But it is still very new and frightening. 10/10. |
| High Plains Drifter is a hell of a chilling experience. This is a strange resentment. A BIG grudge against the people of Lake cowards. Upon arrival, he kills three bells, rapes a woman, is a nightmare, you get the authority of the city, have sex, is another nightmare, Someones out ear buds, paintings of all the people in red blood, then he sale ... Oh, yes, and then whips back and someone to death, strangling someone to death and then someone shot to death. This guy is invincible. One thing sure, this is not world.He literally have eyes in the back of his head. Do not mess around with this ghost rider or you can whip, shoot and drown you (and then the red paint.) Incredible opposite wall teacher. |
