| Ron Howard to see from how the Grinch stole Christmas, I've been trying to find alternate title to describe how I feel about it. Some came to mind: How Dr. Seuss spins in his grave, or how Opie How Ruins Classic. I wish someone could explain how a book with fewer than 200 words can be made into a movie. Even after seeing this film, I still do not understand. Howard has always lacked an identity as a filmmaker and doing his best imitation of Tim Burton. The How the Grinch Stole Christmas film is a cluttered mess that is endlessly boring because invented some background on how the Grinch became the Grinch. Like I need to know. I firmly believe that if Dr. Seuss (Theodore Geisel) were alive today, would have denounced the crude humor of Jim Carrey asks that the Mayor of Whoville to kiss her back by holding a piece of mistletoe until leering in the division behind while Christine Baranski. Shame on Audrey Geisel for whoring out her late husband's work in Hollywood. Jim Carrey to shame for being so crude and the destruction of a classic. | Is visually beautiful, stay with the architecture and Seussical Who seeks makeup and costumes. Hopkins does an excellent job as narrator, which is no surprise to anyone. But do not bother looking to see that. It is not enough to make this an experience worth seeing. When you see this, you'll see why the elements of The Cat in the Hat tanked at the box office. Not how to make a short animated feature and its extension to the length of a film, and in addition to history, adding that garbage and debris. Adding to that is Jim Carrey, once again, forgetting that supposed to be playing a new character (the Grinch), and once again the performance of their past (the mask). Makeup and clothing does not change that fact. I liked the mask, but this is a different movie: How the Grinch Stole Christmas and a different character. A real actor would not give the public a repetition of old material. Stay with the animated version of the Grinch and the Whos experience. Get the best version of this story. |
