| Mann is one of the makers of the DVD film Collateral premieres today. I can not help thinking that he is a little more interested in craft the final product. It's hard not be impressed by this vision, but the script and possibly the acting are not the same. The story is almost exclusively on the interactions between Vincent (Cruise playing bad for a change) and Max (Foxx), a mild mannered taxi driver. The more time passes with Vincent Max becomes more street, but that does not ring quite true, because I am sure that any taxi driver who has worked for 12 years have had some unpleasant moments. This movie: Collateral makes LA look much more beautiful than what it really is, and it is quite clear that Mann likes the place. If the script is done and level of photography I think this is a 10 but I'm going to give 7 / 10. |
| What great performances! Why not Tom Cruise nominated for an Oscar as well? Jamie and I thought he did an excellent job in "Collateral." This DivX film Collateral was fun to watch. Everyone told me it was to see the movie: Collateral if I want to rent, so I thought him a shot. Every DVD movie Collateral you just keep wondering what would happen next and how it would become the final. It was strange because you feel like Tom was somehow a right as a man beaten, but then snap back into their senses and "Wait! No! It is killing people." I am very serious when I say that he is so consistent with their role. He was very convincing, and Jamie. Jamie does well as a man who is on the verge of madness. I felt as if he were in the same situation, I reacted the same way too. You just waste time and do our best to keep doing things together than ever are expected to do in life. This was a very terrible movie, and I recommend it to anyone. 10/10 |
| Cabbie Max (Jamie Foxx) is caught with the psycho-hit-man Vincent (Tom Cruise) in his taxi on a night of murder in the air ... Vincent is doing its thing with a couple of witnesses to any crime (I forget what it was), and his last stop is procecutor Annie (Jada Pinkett Smith). Now it's up to Max to stop that. Not really an incredible story, and to be honest, not really a special Collateral Crime in any way. Foxx is quite convincing in his role, but it is not anything special cruise to the end is very strange and ridiculous. It is almost laughable, if not its Cruise Terminator / Matrix thing in the underground ... The Collateral Crime has some compelling moments (the scene in the club came to mind), but surely not the classic mistake that for some people. 6 / 10. |

However, for this Collateral Crime film to end what has become a standard for the final movie: Collateral subway, trying to break the record for most broken glass panels in a period of three minutes, and seemed completely ridiculous contributed. The dynamics between initial and Jada Jamie is beautifully done, as the principles of interaction between Tom and Jamie. However, once you start after the action, it is difficult to forget that there was a federal prosecutor in the cabin, and not difficult to figure out exactly what the climax is going to be. "Collateral" is a good action movie, and one of the best with Tom Cruise. Jammie Foxx has a great supporting performance as an actor in the role of a taxi driver to dream. The problem with history is very common in Hollywood blockbusters: the script is very exaggerated and the viewer can not think how the situation is possible, otherwise we will not enjoy the movie. For example, at one point, there are police cars and helicopters pursued the taxi on the street. Suddenly, all this disappears police apparatus, and the streets become deserted. In the metro, there is a great shot on the train. The driver was deaf and probably do not hear anything because he never stops the train at a station or call the police.
