| Bud and Lou maintenance men who play off in a rocket accidentally experimental. Despite the title of the film, which does not actually go to Mars, Venus will - and only during the last twenty-five minutes of the film. Before arriving there, the waste thirty minutes of history to land in New Orleans - who think it is on Mars because of all the strange costumes Mardi Gras (a painfully unfunny gag). Two criminals escaped stowaway aboard the ship and treat high rockets after taking a second off accidentally, but children smarter than them and finally lands on Venus. Venus is true that it's worth the wait, all are great Venusians Miss Universe contestants, and his Queen Marie Blanchard ( `She Devil"). The men were defeated long ago in a war with women, but some of the girls to lose so badly that even Bud and Lou go find them. Queen Mary Bud wants to be king! Anita Ekberg (Miss Sweden) is one of the girls, but you have to quickly find your place. Sets, accessories and special effects are excellent. Look for several objects that are used in other Universal science fiction movies (of the death ray on the device came from space "and the bullet car 'This Island Earth'). It is the most comedy of A & C, but definitely nice for the 1950 sci-fi fans. The tape is either prerecorded. |
| If you like Abbott and Costello, you will like this movie. It is true that the form and it's fun in the style of that era. Has some slapstick, but not enough to be arrogant. When we look back now, the special effects seem pretty lame, but that is part of the appeal to me, the fact that the effects of what looked like on that day. |
| *** SPOILERS *** This DivX film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars is understated surpisingly, seeing that many jokes are hilarious oh, especially those in the bank. What makes the Abbott and Costello Go to Mars Comedy however, is that the scenes on the planet Venus is stupid and unrealistic and Miss New Jersey, "was really, really, really, trash it. Bud and Lou are fun, though (especially Lou), as the two Bumbling, though well meaning public servants who go to LA, and I think it is March (cue funny gags), then the land Venus and I think that is the (cue unfunny jokes), but excitin fool, and supeb SFX, whereas it was 50 years, the two bank robbers are quite funny, but the cake at the end of muzzle reduces the film, because sa stupid end. Class parts, acting in Z-type parts, but always amusing. ** 1 / 2 **** |
| Thanks to the director Charles Lamont in this Abbott and Costello Go to Mars Comedy is actually better than some of the other films including A & C done much lower A & C Meet Captain Kidd. While this is not a Charles Laughton and a lot of terrible music to support the boys, who do not need any of them. This DVD film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars is actually better because it holds less music and more A & C comedy. Both are welcome here. The slowest part of the movie: Abbott and Costello Go to Mars seems to be that when the land of Venus. Although there are a lot of attractive women on Venus, things slow down there. A critique of this DivX Movie Abbott and Costello Go to Mars when it said: "Going to Mars And about time." This comment is not fair to A & C as the special effects are in this sordid and the script is grade B, but A and C pull it up to B without much work. I am sure that the direction of Charles Lamont had much to do with it. |
| All of A & C films are classics, and I think that this routine is a classic which meets Dr. Lou Orville and slap fight ensues. This is a Abbott and Costello Go to Mars movie where A & C of the Abbott and Costello Go to Mars Comedy film made a greater effort that the writers did. |
