Halloween weekend. A jilted groom. A hastily-organized canoe trip. A pristine river. A deep, dark forest. The strange old woman behind the bait shop should've been a warning, but too much beer dulls the senses. When they stumble upon four beautiful women deep in the woods, it all seems too good to be true. And slowly they realize they'll be lucky to escape alive... Witches' Night is a throwback to the horror classics of the 1970's, and features many of the same elements: well-rounded characters, titillating sexual scenarios, an indelible villain, and a plot that builds slowly and inexorably toward an unforgettable conclusion.

Four friends (including siblings) to go after the alcohol no fuss wedding of one of them and end up in the desert Canoing forest, unaware that the instrument is an ancient ritual of witchcraft. Male bondage (male and characterization in general) is rarely described as accurately as in the great surprise of a B-movie. It is extremely rare that you can relate to the characters of a B-movie, especially the males. Characterization but not in the way of the action (there are even some breasts, but not rent this Witches' Night movie for him!) And found myself glued to my screen for the entire duration of the film. Excellent use of darkness. The director knows what he is doing and for a first film, this slick and professional hopes. I, for once, agree with other reviewers that the ending was a little disappointed, but at the other end, not necessarily a surprise.

Jim, a broken heart, disheveled man who has recently been left at the alter on their wedding day, it could definitely use some cheering up. And so only attempt to make his groomsmen. It is well acted (for this type of low-budget film) and the characterization was good enough. It's just that lack of excitement in the final almost agri movie: Witches' Night for me.
