| I just finished the DC rated X for the upcoming DVD. I was pleasantly surprised by this film. The acting is impressive and the story of the Mitchell Brothers maintains my interest. The greatest praise that can make this DVD movie Rated X after seeing that I wanted to learn more about the facts behind the story of the brothers. This movie: Rated X is worth a look, unless the item was offended. |
| Heartbreaking is the word that comes to mind when it comes to describing this film. A fascinating two brothers, raised by a man who could take parenting lessons from The Great Santini and thrust into the world of pornography and drugs 1970. Yes, the porn angle of the story is fascinating and is probably the main reason to see this movie, but I found it a fascinating look at the older brother - younger brother to the case of two men who led lives very tangled. Jim (the elder brother) was always taught to look after younger brother Artie and that made his whole life, even in their own drugs kicked Artie to show what can be done. Artie, whereas spirals and deeper into sexual addiction and excessive use Jim as an excuse to continue smoking not get straightened out. The end scenes are very sudden and surprising, as it must have been when it really happened, but this was Jim's last attempt to take care of Artie when nothing else seemed to work? This film: Rated X uses the technique is now not uncommon for the odd camera angles and color to put the viewer in the mindset of a person disoriented by drugs and perhaps on the edge mentally and emotionally. He was great in "Natural Born Killers" and has been the type that has already been done to death. But it serves the story here. Recommended, and as a hunter Downer after this film, rent "Babe." |
| The real key players / brothers Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen funny and twisted take on the underground characters / brothers Artie and Jim Mitchell in "RATED X". Artie and Jim Mitchell were at the forefront of the revolution porn San Francisco in the early 70's. The theater of property owned by him, made his own X-rated films and lived a life of excess wealth. When you create / produce / write and direct "Behind the Green Door," found himself thrust into the spotlight - and millions of people. Unfortunately, his success and suffered a serious setback when somewere able to collect and recover - while others are intended to deepen themselves a life drugs, despair, and finally murder. The DVD movie Rated X has an unflinching look at a classic Hostory time in America, and history of the Mitchell Brothers is quite funny and sad at the same time. A great debut as director Emilio Estevez and two fine actors (Sheen especially in the latter half of the film) make this a fun "diamond in the rough." Recommended! |
