| Film about a stranger, under the segment, the passive version of intellectually Cronenberg is accelerated. People who want to be paralyzed from the waste and confined to a wheelchair. It is more than that. It is within a mystery as to whether a reporter for the radio is increasingly attracted to a trap or false story. And unlike shock, there is no drug. It's more psychological, but also dark, just without the atmosphere and style that has accelerated. The downside is that some of them seem too setup and developing story. The result is that it seems less like a theater, cinema and television as a film, but worth seeing. |
| I will summarize what this Quid Pro Quo Thriller film is about (if cousin got here you probably know --- BIID) What I will say is that the posters are right, if you like Cronenberg's work (especially "fast" and "Dead Ringers"), but disappointed with the Canadian filmmaker's most recent major missions, which def. need to verify this. The other reason to see Vera Farmiga is an actress who has been working in Cate Blanchett's shadow for years, and we have a role to Blanchett dare not touch. Underestimated. |
| "Quid pro quo" is about disabled reporter Isaac (Nick Stahl), as has a strange history - people who wish to be disabled. His investigation leads him to Fiona (Vera Farmiga), a capable woman who would want to be in a wheelchair as he is. As their relationship blossoms, he discovers some shocking information about Fiona, and try to reach an agreement with his own guilt about the reasons for the disability that leads to a surprising climax. This is a pretty decent DVD film Quid Pro Quo (Magnolia Pictures always seem to do an excellent job), with great acting, a story deep and higher in the lives of most people do not understand - those who want to be disabled even though they're not. |
