This DVD film Elizabeth: The Golden Age gave me a star, and I suppose that is an attribute that the actress who played Mary, the queen as his rival was the only one who was acting for me. Beyond it seems that the director had no ability to use the skill of another series of great actors like Geoffrey Rush. Worst of all, the DivX Movie Elizabeth: The Golden Age bordered on propaganda and its political incorrectness is becoming more of a frustration - not English - to see films like these. The opening titles and ending the pitch as England struggled to have the soul of Spain in those days and the immediate post superpower, ironically leaving taste in my mouth. If you make a historical costume dramas, at least the kind of rolling with some responsibility and not totally distorted and twisted history. Since, during this episode, the French were fighting the Netherlands and Spain were waging their war of independence from Spanish rule. Then, to end the DivX Movie Elizabeth: The Golden Age with the words that Britain entered a new era of peace and prosperity could have used the word "relative". Within half a century the country would plunge into civil war and declare war after another smaller commercial rivalry. Make a fiction Elizabeth: The Golden Age Biography movie if you can not tell a story honestly. Otherwise you're a colleague of Leni Rievenstahl. |
Taken separately, Clive Owen, Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush was brilliant. Clive is convincing as Walter Raleigh, and Cate is brilliant, but this DivX Movie Elizabeth: The Golden Age does not flow at all. I blame management, editing and script as being all very, very weak. The result is a colossal waste of talent mess! I love history, and read and reread the historical facts relevant to the film. The main premise was not entirely flawed, but more brightness and shelve things. (where he was Sir Francis?) In fact if they had left out of Raleigh and Drake Clive had this game could have worked! ) Could ... should ... would .... good! Drake was the greatest player of Raleigh and burnt the Spanish fleet at Cadiz the previous year. It is possible that the Queen Mary of Scotland could have been created by Philip the Second, while no one can really say if it is true, it seems highly unlikely. I also doubt that Elizabeth was the uncertainty of women and conflict as portrayed in film. By then it was one of survival and survival in all new and the European Renaissance of Machiavellian politics. Cate did however give a great opportunity. Unfortunately the Elizabeth: The Golden Age movie does not just bring the history of England and Elizabeth to triumph over the Spanish as well as they could not really take the story at all. |
